Where do you put emphasis when you say "Komodo dragon?"

  1. Technically, komodo is an adjective. It's a separate word. So if someone says "That's a japanese water dragon!" you would say "no, it's a KOMODO dragon." On the other hand, if someone says "Look at that komodo monitor lizard!" you would say "That's 'komodo DRAGON.'"

  2. Also, you should add a third option to your pronunciation polls: whatever Jon is about to say.

  3. What if someone asks, "What's that?"

Would you say, "Oh, that? It's a KOMODO Dragon," or would you say," Oh, that? It's a komodo DRAGON?"
